Our bedtime routine chart.

Keep a few familiar steps in one place. Use the blank lines for your household, rather than trying to fit someone else’s schedule.

Afterward: did we have an opportunity, and did we try the plan?
Make it fit your evening.
Choose only the steps your household intends to use. Prepare familiar materials in a calm moment and discuss the order with the other caregiver. The chart is a reminder for adults, not a scorecard for a child. Leave room to respond to comfort and safety needs.
A chart does not promise that a child will fall asleep at a particular time. For broader guidance, read the AAP’s toddler bedtime guidance. Persistent sleep concerns or unusual distress need individual professional support.
The first routine plan is free. A paid seven-day practice pack, when enabled, adds daily prompts; you do not need to buy it to print or use this chart.
